The lack of bone,the nonunion of bone,the short
limbs,deformity of limb ,the dwarf caused by any reasons are treated difficultly
all the time.The operation of lengthening limbs has being developed .It is the
important way in which the diseases can be treated.However, the traditional technique
of the lengthening limbs used at present maybe cause some deficiencies and complications,and
its popularity and application are affected.Therefore,it becomes important task
how to be free from complications or to reduce complications ,to make it safe
,prefect and ripe in the feild.
The new microwound operation of the lengthening limbs by bone
regeneration is developed and brought forth new ideas in the traditional
operation of lengthening limbs.
Helong Bai explored the basic theory of lengthening limbs bone
by bone regeneration and practised in clinic treatment and then
advanced the new conception and theory ,according to soft tissue
and bone regeneration.According to the theory,he set up a new operative
style of lengthening limbs by regeneration.
Details of the method:To cut the skin below knee.The cut is 1-2cm.To
make second epiphysis in shin bone .To set fixative clip out of
skin.Then the cells of bone and soft tissue can be forced to regenerate.Shin
bone can grows 0.5 to 1mm each day with Chinese traditional medicine.Common
adult can grow 6 to 10cm in 3 months.The drawf can grow more than
10cm.
Nowadays,in China there are other methods of lengthening limbs bone that are
different from our method.Our method is microwound.Specially the fixative clip
is set on one side of shank instead of all surroundings of shank of other method.And
it is small,light and firmly fixative.It does not affect dressing.It is safer
than appendectomy.The item is government technological item.And it is appraised
by the experts orgenized by the science committee.It comes to level in the world.
